Position Title: Davis Gallery Assistant

Semester/Year: Fall 2025

Total Positions Available: 1

Hours Per Week: Approximately 6

Supervisor: Meghan L. Jordan

Pay rate: $15.50 per hour 

Start Date: September 2025

End Date: December 2025

 

Description

The Davis Gallery at Houghton House seeks student Gallery Assistants to work shifts Monday thru Friday 1:30-4:30pm and Saturday 1-3pm.

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the gallery
  • Answer visitor questions about exhibitions
  • Assist exhibition installation and take down
  • Assist with exhibition opening receptions
  • Assist with other art department functions as needed

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be a current or future major/minor in Art History, Critical Museum Studies, Studio Art, or Architecture
