Greek and Roman Studies Student Worker

Position Title:  Greek and Roman Studies: Student Worker 

Semester/Year: 2025 Fall Semester 

Total Positions:1

Supervisor: Jim Capreedy

Pay rate: $15.50

Hours per week: 3-4

Start Date: Sept. 8th, 2025

End Date: Dec. 18th, 2025

 

Position Description

To support various departmental initiatives, including data collection and outreach efforts.

 

Responsibilities

  • gathering data on graduates, majors, and minors in Greek and Roman Studies
  • collaborate with Eta Sigma Phi;
  • assist in the creation and management of departmental visual materials, including posters, banners, and stickers, to help promote our programs and events. 
  • The worker would also support the management of the department’s social media platforms, helping to enhance our online presence and engagement with students, alumni, and the broader community.

Qualifications

  • Be in good academic standing
  • Well-organized and responsible
  • Strong communication skills
  • A passing grade in at least one 200-level Latin course;
  • strong foundation in one of the ancient languages
  • Proficiency with social media 
  • Experience with courses in Greek and Roman studies;
  • Experience or membership in Eta Sigma Phi
