Pay rate: $15.50 per hour 

Hours per wk: 4-5

Start Date: September 2, 2025 

End Date: November 14, 2025

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Bozzuto Center for Entrepreneurship (BCE) seeks a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team. The intern will play a crucial role in fostering student leadership development, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and campus engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of leadership or entrepreneurship experience, interpersonal skills, and a passion for supporting the growth and development of their peers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Mentorship and Student Development:  

  • Serves as a student mentor and guide, supporting and encouraging personal, leadership, and entrepreneurial development.  
  • Co-develop and implement the IdeaLab program to foster community and inclusivity, enhancing student experience.  

Facilitation and Program Development:  

  • Facilitates IdeaLab workshops on Wednesday evenings in September and October. 
  • Collaborates and partners with others to design and execute programs that address the evolving needs of the student body.  

Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution:  

  • Analyzes situations critically, evaluates information, and makes informed decisions.   
  • Takes initiative and uses constructive feedback to provide creative solutions to problems.  
  • Navigate challenges and adapt to changing circumstances.  

Collaboration and Team Building:  

  • Fosters a collaborative environment by working with diverse student groups, faculty, and staff to promote unity, teamwork, and community.  
  • Collaborates on cross-campus initiatives to enhance the overall student experience.  

Leadership and Project Management:  

  • Uses personal leadership, entrepreneurial resources, and experiences to inspire and guide student leaders.  

Student Engagement and Public Speaking:  

  • Actively engages with students through various communication channels, including social media, to promote events, initiatives, and leadership opportunities.  
  • Represents the Bozzuto Center for Entrepreneurship at public events, utilizing vital networking and public speaking skills to articulate the importance of leadership and engagement.  

Self-Reflection and Continuous Learning:  

  • Models and engages in self-reflection, evaluating experiences, and learning from successes and failures.  
  • Recognizes the importance of continuous learning and seeks opportunities for personal and professional growth.  

  

Qualifications  

  • Demonstrated leadership experience at HWS or in a community setting.  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.  
  • Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant technologies.  
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.  
  • Creativity and passion for student leadership development and entrepreneurship.  

   

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Background in leadership and entrepreneurship.  
  • Experience in mentorship and facilitation.
