Description

German Language Assistants will support the German Area Studies program by providing students tutoring opportunities as well as organizing and running weekly language tables.

Responsibilities

• Set regular tutoring hours for students at all language levels
• Assist students with completing homework, preparing for exams, practicing all four areas of language acquisition (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
• Organize a place for students to meet outside of class to practice German and learn about the culture of German-speaking Europe

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in English and in German
• Have experience working with language learners
• Have interest in fostering cross-cultural communication and exchange
