Description
Lifeguards ensure the safety and security of all patrons. You are responsible for monitoring activities in and around the water, promptly responding to any emergencies and aiding and/or guidance to swimmers if needed. You must possess strong surveillance skills, quick decision-making abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Qualifications
- Must have current, valid Lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications. List of what is valid can be found on https://www.health.ny.gov/environmental/outdoors/camps/docs/aquacert.pdf
- Please note, in NYS there is a requirement for annual CPR/AED recertification for all Lifeguards, regardless of certification expiration beyond 1-year. Many CPR/AED certifications are for 2-years. You must have recertified within the past year.
- Must be flexible to work open shifts when needed, this may include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
