Position Title: Reunion Red Shirt

Pay rate:   $16 per hour

Hours per week: 40

Start Date: Monday, June 1, 2026

End Date: Sunday, June 7, 2026

Location: Office of Advancement – Alumni and Alumnae Relations

Position Type: Reunion Student Ambassador

 

Position Description:

The Office of Alumni and Alumnae Relations is pleased to offer Reunion Student Worker (aka “Red Shirt”) positions from June 1st – 7th, 2026. The students selected will work 40 hours over the course of the Reunion week. Responsibilities will include campus and event prep/set-up, event celebrations, and clean-up/tear-down, along with other duties as assigned. This is a weeklong commitment. 

Duties include supporting a multitude of programs and events throughout Reunion Weekend. Students will help returning alumni check in at Reunion headquarters and prepare and execute specific events. Students will be asked to “mingle” with alumni and share their positive experiences. The ideal student for this job should be flexible in their ability to assist Reunion staff, have a valid driver’s license, and be outgoing, friendly, helpful and patient. Housing and meals will be provided.

 

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assist with various programs and events during Reunion Weekend.
  2. Collaborate with the Reunion team to address on-site needs.
  3. Aid alumni with check-in and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
  4. Serve as a student ambassador, providing accurate information about the HWS community.
  5. Direct alumni and provide information during reunion-specific events.
  6. Serve as liaisons to groups staying on campus.
  7. Additional Duties: Entertain children, maintain decorations, lead campus tours and provide transportation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Be in good academic and social standing.
  • Show a clear understanding of and appreciation for the HWS mission and core values.
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Possess a professional demeanor and present selves accordingly.
  • Must be comfortable engaging in conversations on a range of topics.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team, including students and administrators.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, responsibility and a willingness to assist others during an intense weekend.
