Description

Head O’Laughlin Ambassadors play a key leadership role within the Admissions Office by supporting the recruitment, training, and engagement of the O’Laughlin Ambassador team. This position ensures that O’Laughlin Ambassadors are well-prepared to represent HWS and deliver an exceptional campus visit experience for prospective students and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring of new O’Laughlin Ambassadors
• Train new O’Laughlin Ambassadors to give tours, answer the phone, and work at the front desk
• Assist with creation of O’Laughlin Ambassador schedule each semester
• Schedule O’Laughlin Ambassadors for group visit tours, athletic recruit tours, admitted student visits, event days, and other special tours
• Serve as point person for O’Laughlin Ambassadors at event days
• Facilitate communication between O’Laughlin Ambassadors and Admissions staff
• Foster community amongst the O’Laughlin Ambassadors and promote high morale
• Maintain documentation such as the Tour Guide Manual, training documents, etc.
• Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Excellent leadership ability
• Responsible, reliable, organized
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Self-starter

Requirements

• At least one full semester working as an O’Laughlin Ambassador
• First year, sophomore, or junior year standing as of Spring 2026
• Hours vary by week based on needs of the office; however, Head O’Laughlin
• Ambassadors may work up to 20 hours per week
