Position Title: Bio Dept Animal and Plant Care Student Assistant

End Date: June 30, 2027
POSITION SUMMARY
Assist the Animal and Plant Tech with husbandry and care of animals (mostly aquatic) and vivaria, as well as watering the greenhouse on weekends, holidays, and during the week as needed. Assist with other departmental tasks upon request. Maintain daily logs and report any issues to the Animal and Plant Technician.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Be enrolled in or have passed Intro to Bio 167.
- Prior experience desirable but not required.
- Able to work weekends and holidays is a must.
- Be in good academic standing.
- Be physically able to lift & move routine tabletop lab equipment, glassware, stools, etc.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols.
