Position Title: POAP Guide
Semester/Year: Summer 2022

Pay: $350 Stipend
Start Date: August 10, 2022
End Date: August 18, 2022
Guides Must:
· Be in good academic standing.
· NOT be a CA (Community Assistant), Orientation Mentor/Leader, or fall athlete that needs to participate in pre-season for the fall of the 2022 academic year
· Have some previous form of outdoor experience.
· Be currently certified, or willing to become certified, in some form of First Aid, CPR, Wilderness First Responder. HWS will cover some or all of the cost for training.
· Be able to return to campus on August 10th and work through to the afternoon of August 18th.
· Be physically able to carry 35+ pounds over rough terrain, and cope with the unknowns of the weather.
· Be able to lead and manage 8-10 incoming HWS students who may be very close in age, but not maturity and who may not have had any prior outdoor experience under the conditions stated above.
Guides Will:
- Be paid $350
- Receive free training.
- Set the stage for how many FY students will experience HWS.
- Go on a sweet outdoor trip.
- Contribute to the future of the outdoor community at HWS.
- Have a great time!
