End Date: May 12, 2023 (you will return to work during the beginning of the fall semester)
Description
Head O’Laughlin Ambassadors lead our staff of 50 O’Laughlin Ambassadors, manage all in office scheduling including the weekly schedule, group tours, and special events. Head O’Laughlin Ambassadors hire new O’Laughlin Ambassadors and train them to give tours, work the front desk, and answer phones. They manage the day to day responsibilities of the Ambassadors and oversee operations in the Admissions Office.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-campus and virtual interviews of prospective students on a regularly scheduled basis
- Hire new O’Laughlin Ambassadors
- Train new O’Laughlin Ambassadors on giving tours, answering the phones, and working the front desk
- Make weekly office schedule for special group visits and event days
- Lead workers at event days
- Facilitate communication with O’Laughlin Ambassadors
Requirements
- At least one semester working as an O’Laughlin Ambassador
- Open to first years, sophomores, and juniors
- Hours vary based on the week, may work up to 20 hours per week, strong availability preferred
Qualifications
- Excellent leadership ability Responsible, reliable, and organized
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills Self starter
