Position Title: Reunion Red Shirt

Description
The Office of Alumni and Alumnae Relations is pleased to offer reunion student worker positions from May 28 – June 4, 2023. The students selected will work between 60 – 75 hours over the course of the Reunion between campus and event prep/set-up, event celebrations and clean-up/tear down.
Duties include supporting a multitude of programs and events throughout Reunion Weekend. Students will help returning alums check-in at Reunion headquarters and help prepare and execute specific events. Students will be asked to “mingle” with alums and share their positive experiences. The ideal student for this job should be flexible in their ability to assist Reunion staffers in addition to being outgoing and friendly. Housing will be provided for you.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Assisting with set-up of residence hall welcome areas
  • Serving as liaisons to class groups on campus and in-residence halls
  • Assisting with set-up and clean-up before and after meals or events
  • Working with children at the Family Festival on Saturday afternoon
  • Selling meal tickets
  • Keeping campus decorated during the entire weekend with correct signage/balloons
  • Leading a group of alums on Campus Tours
  • Transporting our alums on golf carts or in minivans (must be van certified) to campus events
 
Qualifications
  • Be in good academic and social standing
  • Show a clear understanding of and appreciation of the HWS mission and core values
  • Campus leadership, student work, research, other campus experience preferred
  • Have an enthusiastic and positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Should possess a professional demeanor and present themselves as such
  • Must be self-motivated, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and be comfortable speaking with people on a range of topics
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse team members, including students and administrators
  • Demonstrate flexibility, responsibility, and willingness to assist others during an intense weekend
  • Participate in all Reunion staff training
