Summer of Service – CCESL Intern

Position Title: Summer of Service – CCESL Intern

Semester/Year: Summer 2024

Total Positions Available: 1

Supervisor: Katie Flowers

Pay rate: $15.00 per hour

Hours per Week: 15-20 

Start Date: June (flexible)

End Date: August (flexible) 

 

Position Description:

  • Weekly hour commitment is 15-20 hours 
  • CCESL Interns will serve as a leader of CCESL, representing on social media and various events.
  • CCESL Interns will be expected to attend monthly meetings with CCESL Staff and meet regularly to check-in with the Director. 
  • CCESL Interns are responsible for program assessment on the various CCESL initiatives (service-learning courses, HWS Corps, Community Lunch Program, social media, etc.)
  • CCESL Interns will maintain communication with CCESL Staff and maintain accurate records.
  • CCESL Interns are expected to help with project planning for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025 (voting initiatives, social media, volunteering initiatives, etc.) 
  • CCESL Interns will help with volunteer initiatives through the local farmers market and other various events that come up through the summer. 

 

 Qualifications:

  • CCESL Interns will need to be excellent at managing their time and be prompt for every meeting. 
  • CCESL Interns must be dependable, as this job involves working with community partners.
  • CCESL Interns must be patient, helpful, and sensitive to the challenges the community faces and help to find creative solutions to the struggles or problems.
  • CCESL Interns must be able to keep a positive attitude, and are encouraged to demonstrate leadership and initiative. 
  • CCESL Interns must demonstrative effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Bilingual HWS students are encouraged to apply
