Position Title: OISS Van Driver 

Semester/Year: 2024-2025 Academic Year

Total Positions Available: 4 

Supervisor: Sherri Martin-Baron

Pay rate: $15 per hour 

Start Date: August 13, 2024 

End Date: May 13, 2025

Enjoy meeting new people? Like to drive? Want to move into your academic year housing early? Then consider becoming part of the International Student Success van team!

We need van drivers to pick up incoming international students from Rochester airport from August 13th-15th as well as later that week/weekend for International Student Orientation. This is a wonderful way to meet new students and be the welcome party from HWS when they arrive! Van drivers will be needed at other times during the academic year as well, such as at the end of each semester to drive students to the airport, to attend events with the ISA, or for out-of-town events. 

Please note, any potential drivers needing to go through the van certification process must be 21 years of age or older and have at minimum 3 years of driving experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive an HWS van.
  • Pick up incoming international students from Rochester airport
  • Bring international students to Rochester airport
  • Drive to Walmart during International Student Orientation
  • Drive the van at other times in the academic year for special events

 

Qualifications

  • Must be HWS van-certified or eligible for HWS van certification (21 years old or older, minimum of 3 years driving experience, must pass a background check)
  • Good communication and detailed oriented
  • Friendly
  • Able to work independently, show initiative and adhere to deadlines
  • Must have a current U.S. driver's license and a clean driving record
