Position: Indoor Turf Field Student Worker

Summary: We are seeking a responsible and motivated college student for the position of Indoor Turf Field Student Worker. This role involves supervisory and cleaning responsibilities at our cutting-edge indoor turf field facility, the Thomas B. Poole '61 and Family Sports Dome. The ideal candidate should be sports-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to maintaining a safe and clean environment for our students, staff and faculty.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervisory Duties:
   • Oversee indoor turf field activities, ensuring compliance with facility rules.
   • Enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures, promptly addressing any incidents.
2. Cleaning and Maintenance:
   • Regularly inspect and clean the indoor turf field, removing debris and maintaining cleanliness.
   • Routinely check waste bin levels, report replacement needs.
   • Inspect sports equipment, reporting damages or issues as necessary.
   • Coordinate with the Assistant Athletic Director for any necessary repairs.
3. Facility Operations:
   • Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring a smooth start and end to daily operations.
   • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
   • Maintain an organized storage area for sports equipment, ensure users remove equipment off of the playing surface following sessions.

Requirements:

1. Currently enrolled at HWS
2. Strong passion for sports and recreation
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work independently 
5. Demonstrated reliability and responsibility
6. Flexibility to work throughout the academic day and weeknights

1. Hours/week: 2-5 hours/week
