Position Title:   Theater Assistant Student Worker

Semester/Year:   2024 Fall Semester

Supervisor:   H May

Pay rate:   $15 per hour 

Hours per wk:   Hours will vary up to 20 hours per week

Start Date:   August 28, 2024

End Date:   October 3, 2024

Job Requirements: 

• Attend rehearsals (rehearsal times may change: M, W 5:45-9:15; Tu, Th 6:15-9:45;  F 1:45-5:15) of Prof. May’s production, where you will:
  • Ensure the space is set up properly and free of obstacles
  • Follow along the written script and provide feedback as requested
  • Take notes for Prof. May
  • Other duties as needed to aid in communication between Prof. May and members of the production team
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Taken at least one class in the Theater Department
• Ability to quickly and accurately read and speak text
• Strong note-taking skills
• Ability to help move small to medium-sized objects as needed
• Careful attention to detail
• Preferred: understanding of and / or experience with the theatrical rehearsal process
