RFK Weight Room Monitor

Position Title: RFK Weight Room Monitor (Work Study position for Hobart Athletics and William Smith Athletics)

Semester/Year: 2024- 2025 Academic Year

Total Positions Available: 15

Pay rate: $15 per hour 

Hours per wk: TBD

Start Date: August 29, 2024 

End Date: May 10, 2025

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a work-study position within the HWS Athletics Department. Eligible individuals should possess excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills and/or have previous experience working in a similar setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES      

• Assist Coaches with daily setup, breakdown and cleaning of weight room equipment.
• Support data collection and implementation within the S&C department.
• Organization of digital files.
• Organization and layout of weight room equipment.
• Help assist with the general maintenance of RFK & RFK 2.0 to ensure it is both safe and impressive for current and prospective HWS student-athletes.
• Available to work a flexible schedule involving early mornings, evenings and/or weekends as needed.
• Have a willingness to learn and improve as a young professional.
• Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must be a person of integrity, high ethical standards, have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills as well as organizational skills.  The candidate would ideally have prior weight room experience.
