Position Description
The Office of Alumni and Alumnae Relations is pleased to offer reunion student worker positions from June 2nd – 9th, 2025. The students selected will work 40 hours over the course of the Reunion between campus and event prep/set-up, event celebrations, and clean-up/tear down. This is a weeklong commitment.
Duties include supporting a multitude of programs and events throughout Reunion Weekend. Students will help returning alums check in at Reunion headquarters and help prepare and execute specific events. Students will be asked to “mingle” with alums and share their positive experiences. The ideal student for this job should be flexible in their ability to assist Reunion staff, have a valid driver’s license, and be outgoing and friendly. Housing and meals will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with various programs and events during Reunion Weekend.
- Collaborate with the Reunion team to address on-site needs.
- Aid alums with check-in and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Serve as Student Ambassador, providing accurate information about the HWS community.
- Lead alums and provide information during reunion-specific events.
- Serve as liaisons to groups staying on campus.
- Additional Duties: Entertain children, maintain decorations, lead campus tours, and provide transportation.
Qualification
- Be in good academic and social standing.
- Show a clear understanding of and appreciation for the HWS mission and core values.
- Demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Possess a professional demeanor and present themselves accordingly.
- Must be comfortable engaging in diverse conversations.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team, including students and administrators.
- Demonstrate flexibility, responsibility, and a willingness to assist others during an intense weekend.
